OVERALL IMPRESSION

My trip to Zanzibar exceeded my expectations. Despite the island being mostly flat, somewhat dry, and lacking significant cultural landmarks, there is definitely a lot to experience there. I especially loved walking on the beaches and watching the sunsets. Occasionally, I heard complaints about the massages and locals trying to sell us souvenirs, but personally, I have beautiful memories of them. When we wanted peace and quiet, we politely asked for it, and they let us be with a smile. On the other hand, when we felt like talking to them, we often learned a lot of interesting things about their lives.

I remember the most the two-day trip to Tanzania for a safari, where we flew on a small plane, which was a big experience in itself, and the animal expeditions were beautiful. I was most thrilled to see the giraffes, zebras, hippos, and a colorful bird that followed us for several kilometers beside our jeep. When we came face to face with a herd of elephants, I held my breath. I can only recommend a safari trip.
