OVERALL IMPRESSION

I don't know whether it was because my trip to Sri Lanka was my first expedition outside of Europe and everything was so different and new to me, but it has forever been stored in the archive of my most beautiful memories. I especially remember the warmth of the locals, sipping tea with views of the plantations and the green backdrop of nature that was everywhere I looked. Due to a limited budget, we decided to travel around the country using public transportation, which allowed us to be more in touch with the locals and their culture, making our experiences even more intense.

It is said that Sri Lanka is a lighter version of India, and it is true that the local atmosphere suggests so. If you feel like the country is calling you, it is definitely worth visiting the island. It was one great amazing ride.

The itinerary includes the most popular places in Sri Lanka: Adam's Peak, Anuradhapura, Temple of the Tooth, tea plantations and factories, Ella, Galle, Nuwara Eliya, Udawalawe National Park (including the elephant orphanage, with a gentle approach to elephants), beaches in Tangalle and Mirissa, Polonnaruwa, and Sigiriya. The travel plan is prepared to smoothly connect the places and optimize costs and travel time as much as possible.

You can adjust the length of the itinerary according to your needs, but I recommend having at least 14 days for the trip.
