Island with beautiful sea and an atmosphere of ancient history

OVERALL IMPRESSION

We visited Sicily in the second half of September, avoiding not only crowds of tourists, but also the hottest weather, while still enjoying pleasant temperatures of around 25 degrees Celsius. I fell in love with the atmosphere of the island. It feels a bit sleepy, parched, and old, but definitely not in a bad sense.

The island combines well the visits to ancient sites with relaxing on the beach, and the sea is absolutely beautiful here. Its biggest natural landmark is Etna volcano, which guards the eastern part of the island and creates a beautiful backdrop for the overall atmosphere of Sicily.

BASIC INFORMATION FOR THE ITINERARY

The itinerary includes a trip along the northern coast of Sicily from Catania to Trapani. You can adjust the length of the itinerary according to your needs, but I recommend allowing at least 12 days for the trip. The itinerary program focuses on the most beautiful and interesting places in the northern part of Sicily: Cefalù, Etna, Erice, Levanzo Island, Palermo, San Vito Lo Capo, Segesta, Taormina, Trapani, and Zingaro. The travel plan is designed to smoothly connect these locations and to optimize costs and travel time as much as possible.
