ITALY

Wandering through Italian alleyways and enjoying a true Italian coffee will never get old for me.

OVERALL IMPRESSION

It was a beautiful vacation, and I'm glad we decided to travel through the country as a whole. I had been drawn to Italy's historical sites for a long time, especially Rome and Apulia - the heel of Italy, where I had never been before. The original plan was to fly to the south for just a week, but the cost of flights and renting a car for such a short time was not advantageous. So we finally decided to take our own car and drive through everything that time allowed us. In the end, it was a beautiful 18 days (the itinerary can be shortened), during which we "switched off" and let ourselves be absorbed by the historical atmosphere of the places that Italy is woven with. Actually, I was surprised how much I enjoyed sightseeing in the cities, as my heart belongs to the mountains and forests after all.

Wherever possible, we interspersed the journey with swimming in the sea, so we also enjoyed it to the fullest and stocked up on sunshine, bronze, and energy. In addition, the closed borders with the outside world due to Covid contributed to the fact that everywhere where it is usually crowded, it was empty, which was perfect.
